Built Different from Day One
After 17 years in the telecommunications industry, Julio Martinez had seen the same problem on every ISP engagement: too many vendors, too many gaps. A carrier would hire one firm for survey, another for design, a third for permitting — and lose weeks to coordination overhead at every seam.
In 2018, he founded Draftech International to fix that. The idea was straightforward: build one team capable of owning the entire lifecycle — field survey, HLD/LLD fiber design, pole loading analysis, permitting, CAD/GIS production, and as-builts — so a client never has to manage the gap between vendors again.
What started in Miami has grown into a 600-engineer operation active in 22 states and available to deploy across all 50 U.S. states. In 2024, Draftech was officially recognized as a Certified Minority Business Enterprise — a milestone that reflects both who the company is and how it competes.
Every partner still works deals, reviews designs, and talks to clients directly. The scale has changed; the operating model hasn't.
